West Salisbury Little League Steps Up to Energy Savings with Lighting Upgrades

The West Salisbury Little League offers youth 4–16 years old a place to play sports, have fun, and learn skills that will last a lifetime. At nearly 10 fields around Salisbury, Md., children come out to play baseball. Friends watch, families cheer, and the community gathers. But to do that, they needed some updates—like new lighting in their concessions, storage, and other buildings.

The Opportunity

With commercial kitchen equipment upgraded, the board president championed the effort to replace the outdated lighting in their buildings as well.

The Upgrades

The organization upgraded their lighting to reduce energy use, cut costs, and improve comfort. These improvements encompassed areas of the building designated for concessions, storage, board meetings, and registrations.

The Results

Delmarva Power’s Energy Savings for Business program stepped up to the plate, helping them save on energy costs now and in the future—so they have more to spend on their teams.
